Seasons 1-8 are when shippers put bids for two shipments through the uShip platform in a reverse auction format. Bids are typically accompanied by remarks about the potential risks and the costs and the reasons and skills. The job is usually awarded to the bidder with the lowest bid when the auction ends. However, at the discretion of the client, it can be given to a bidder who has a better feedback rating from previous clients. For the lowest bid the tie will be dissolved by the feedback rating. Season 9 is when shippers are receiving their loads from a shipping agency. The bidding process isn't revealed. Shippers load their cargo , and then try to deliver the cargo in good order by the deadline set by the buyer or the receiver. When the cargo is delivered, the clients leave feedback ratings. At the end of the episode, every shipper's profit is calculated on-screen, with the expenses (fuel as well as labor, late-delivery penalties fines, etc.) The bid amount is subtracted to determine the total profit and loss. Sometimes, shippers decide to transport additional loads in the same journey. This amount will be added to the total. Sometimes, the shipper may not be able to complete the task due to concerns over the size of the load or the weight and road safety. One shipper might employ someone else to help on an assignment. Once the job is done, the shippers decide how to divide the profits. The advancement of each shipment is delayed by hilarious criticisms from other shippers in seasons 1-8.
