Laura Vandervoort
In 1997, she made her acting debut at age 13. Her acting debut came at the age of 13 in 1997. Following her studies and working as a background actor in Canadian series such as Road to Avonlea, Harriet the Spy and Goosebumps She was also offered speaking roles in the Canadian horror series Are You Afraid Of The Dark? and Goosebumps. Both series were aired by YTV. Following commercials, she had guest starring roles in Mutant X, Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story, Goosebumps, Twice in a Lifetime, Doc, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Troubled Waters, The Dresden Files, and several Disney Channel original films (Mom's got A Date with a Vampire and Alley Cats Strike), aged 19, attending York University[12] in the faculties of Psychology and English,[1] Vandervoort found herself in the role of Sadie Harrison in the CTV teens' drama Instant Star, which was on air for four seasons. Vandervoort made her feature film debut in 2006 with The Lookout. She starred alongside Jeff Daniels and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Matthew Goode was also present. Vandervoort's television career began with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her next project was the part of Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin "Kara Kent", (the woman who became Supergirl) and appeared in The CW serial-drama program Smallville. Her appearances on seasons seven and eight were as a regular in the series, "Bloodline". 3] She returned for another two episodes in the season ten, and in the finale of Smallville. [4] Following The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort filmed the sequel of the film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independent film. It also features with Canadians Michael Ironside, who appeared in both The second V miniseries and also the regular 1984 V series.
