StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala (2011), an Mexican crime-drama film. She was then in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] The father of her, former baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She began her career on Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8The film, however, was not on the final list. 9. Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her performance as an editor in the film industry in 2011. In the following year, she appeared as Catalina Aguado in the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer in which was a Norwegian thriller.
