Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart started modelling in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the 1996 TV production Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land an appearance on Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. At first, it was difficult for Amy switching from modeling to acting. This is because most models aren't good actors. And they are usually assigned small and insignificant parts. Amy did not give up and eventually she landed bigger parts in the movies Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy was then promoted to lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous for her work over the past decade. She went on doing some important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played a well loved recurring character.
