Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a Greek-American writer, syndicated journalist and businesswoman. She's written 15 books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington has been a journalist, TV personality writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than 10 years. She is also the founder of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. After moving to England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA in Economics at Cambridge University. She was the first person who was not from the UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Following graduation, she left her name as columnist in the conservative syndicated media as well as with the introduction of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed a voice-based website that provided critical views on the political scenario. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent candidate in the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. Additionally she also led the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. Forbes named her the "most important woman" in media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL Inc. named her president of their media division in 2011 following the bought The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included the other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. Even though she was close with father, her relationship to her mom shaped the rest of her life. In her early years she demonstrated the qualities of a leader and is a household name. When she was 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years, where she was the first woman to serve as the president. In 1972 she graduated with an advanced degree in Economics. She was a journalist as well as a host on TV as well as a columnist following her graduation.
